Town Teams
Sellwood Baseball offers boys and girls ages 5-8 the opportunity to play with their friends and schoolmates at local fields (Berkeley Park, Duniway, Llewellyn, Sellwood Park, and Westmoreland Park).
Every Town Team should have at least three coaches. Please don't hesitate to get involved...it's a great experience!
Tee Ball is for players new to baseball. Pre-school and Kindergarten is the most common age range for tee ball. Players use a tee to hit the ball for at least half the season, and then coaches begin to pitch gradually as players develop. Focus at this level is on learning and fun!
Farm Ball is for players in 1st and 2nd grade. Coaches pitch to their players at this level, and players who need a tee after four pitches can use it. Farm Ball players usually know the basic game rules. There are three outs, a five-run offensive rule…and again, the focus is on learning and fun!
Interested Farm Ball players will have opportunities to improve their skills while transitioning to County Ball play with skill development clinics held during the season.
